Message to the members: I love to work with innovative, hard working, and successful people. I love STCU for its philosophy toward helping members better themselves. The continued growth and success has been a result of hard work by a large number of people for the members. The continuation of excellent service, competitive rates, and advanced technology has enabled us to become the leader in the Spokane financial community and to serve our many valued members. My involvement with the credit union has been very rewarding to me.

Resume: John received his BA from Western Washington University and his Masters in Education Administration at Whitworth College. He taught in the Central Valley School District and South Bend Schools for 32 years. John served as chair of STCU's Board of Directors for 22 of the 33 years he has served on the Board, stepping down from that position in March 2005. John has done volunteer work with the Washington State Retired Teachers Association, Washington State School Retirees Association, Spokane Area Retired Educators Association (SAREA), Central Valley Education Association, and Selective Service System.
