40% STCU.org/Portal
· Enhance STCU's brand, and graphic design of the internal and external website.
· Graphically design and create the layouts, images, and multimedia files for use on corporate web sites, web-based applications and documentation.
· Create and optimize visual elements for stcu.org including banners, buttons, photographs, illustrations, graphics, and other visual elements.
· Help manage the creative element of stcu.org/portal and design website navigation in collaboration with platform technical owners and administrators.
· Collaborate with the technical owners and administrators of STCU web servers and services.
· Manage the development, coordination and delivery of effective communication through the web channel including resolving design problems, imperfections, typographical errors, and formatting inconsistencies.
· Work with advertising manager, print graphic designers, communications manager, Sr. writer/editor to ensure brand consistency.
· Work with third party technology web service vendors to ensure branding consistency.
· Collect metrics for stcu.org, the portal, and other websites to enhance business decisions.
· Collaborate with the advertising manager, print graphic designers, and Information Technology/Information Systems departments to ensure brand consistency.
· Receive, prioritize, troubleshoot, resolve, and document web design support requests to improve system performance, user experience, and recommend areas for improvement.
30% E-Communications
· Design and apply STCU brand standard to all forms of electronic communication including (but not limited to) e-newsletters, e-statements, blogs, flash banners, templates, and web site graphics.
· Advise and recommend design for electronic documents and forms and works with forms designers.
· Convert, edit, and render video in a format appropriate for its intended destination such as stcu.org, internal streaming, ipods, or other technology.
· Participate in the creation, implementation, and maintenance of email marketing/communication and provides metrics regarding effectiveness.
· Work with communications manager and sr. copywriter/editor to ensure communications brand consistency.
· Collaborate with technical architects of the email delivery system.
· Test e-communications on a wide variety of platforms and tests future delivery methods as appropriate.
· Design, modify, and enhance the electronic portion of the STCU style guide.
· Dedicate time to researching current marketing and technology trends.
20% Advertising Performance
1. Projects
· Participate and/or consult on departmental or organizational projects that contribute to the evolvement of STCU's culture and strategic vision and/or achievement of goals.
· Contribute as an effective project team member and complete all tasks and assignments in a timely manner.
· Work with Information Technology departments as a team member or consultant to help develop and deliver brand-compliant User Interface designs that meet usability standards and enhance the overall User Experience.
2. Compliance, Security and Disaster Recovery
· Maintain knowledge in and adhere to compliance standards for the department.
· Adhere to security procedures and fraud controls to protect members, staff, and assets.
· Recommend changes to the disaster recovery plan for the department.
3. Policies/Procedures/Processes
· Adhere to policies, procedures and established processes for the department.
· Recommend policy / procedural changes and process improvements to assist in the achievement of the strategic goals of the organization.
4. Miscellaneous
· Perform additional duties as required by the Advertising Manager or Vice President, Marketing for efficient operation of the department and/or credit union.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Two-year college degree in Web/Graphic Design or a related field; minimum of two years relevant work experience in web design with relevant examples of online work including graphics, video, flash, and site design.
2. Experience converting, editing, and publishing video in a wide variety of combinations dependent upon destination.
3. Extensive experience working with standards-based design strategies to support a wide range of web browsers, including mobile browsers.
4. Strong interest in exploring cutting edge technology and participating in web 2.0 applications.
5. Working knowledge of designer-developer workflows, and technologies (such as XAML) that contribute to removing productivity barriers, is highly desired.
6. Experience with email marketing, templates, and data collection.
7. Strong site architecture and web design skills; fluency with XHTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript and Flash; proficient with graphic design applications, such as Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe Illustrator, and the Macromedia suite; experience using Visual Studio development platform preferred.
8. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
9. Demonstrated ability to accomplish large projects with little supervision, both in a team atmosphere and independently.
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to work closely in a team oriented environment.
11. Ability to work extended hours and weekends.
12. Meets physical requirements of the job as described:
