STCU's rates on iGoogle

Stay informed. Subscribe today.

Members who use iGoogle as their personalized portal to the Internet can put STCU's rates within easy reach using an iGoogle gadget developed by Vision Jinx. It's able to support up to five categories of rates, arranged into tabs.

Presuming you already use iGoogle, here's how to set it up:

  1. Log into iGoogle and click the "Add Stuff" link on the right side of the masthead.
  2. In the "Search for Gadgets" box in the upper right corner, search for "Ultra RSS and Atom." The Ultra RSS and Atom Feed Reader should appear in the search results.
  3. Click the "Add it now" button, then click the "Back to iGoogle home" link in the upper left-hand corner of the page.
  4. Find the "Ultra Feed Reader" gadget that's been placed in the upper left of your iGoogle page, drag it by its title bar wherever you want on the page, and expand the down-arrow menu in its title bar. Choose "Edit Settings."
  5. Replace the name "Ultra Feed Reader" with "STCU Rates."
  6. For each rate category you want to monitor, enter the web addresses from the list below in the "Tab 1" through "Tab 5" fields.
  7. Enter appropriate short identifiers (like "Long Certs" or "Bus Accts") in the "Tab 1 Name" through "Tab 5 Name" fields.
  8. Make sure the "Number of Entries" is set to 30, the "Show All" box is checked, the "Summary Length" is set to 200, and the "Collapse All" box is checked. Click "Save." Your gadget is set!

Important note: Because web browsers and other feed readers are likely to cache out-of-date information or truncated descriptions, please do NOT subscribe to the rate feeds above directly through your browser or other RSS feed readers. Having incomplete information or current rates mixed with out-of-date rates may cause confusion, and violate federal Truth-in-Savings and Truth-in-Lending requirements. Please limit your use of this data to the Ultra Feed Reader gadget prescribed above.
