OSI: fall 2011

Easy steps for environmental and financial sustainability

[October 11, 2011]

OSI (Of Special Interest) is a free, full-color magazine produced entirely by the staff of STCU for members and friends of the credit union worldwide. We mail it to every household each quarter... or you can read it or print it online at your convenience.

In this issue, you'll find stories relating to environmental sustainability, including the insightful cover story: "Is an electric car for you?"

To read OSI online, simply click here or the banner image. If you see something you like, share it with a friend:

Meanwhile, you can help achieve great environmental and financial sustainability by considering these three easy steps:

  1. Switch to convenient e-statements. Easy to access and eliminates wasted paper, envelopes, and stamps.
  2. Set up regular saving transfers or deposits to build a tidy emergency savings account over time.
  3. Reduce your debt by transferring your high interest credit card and loan balance to an STCU Visa, where you'll get 6.9% annual percentage rate for the life of your balance transfer.

Chat, call, or visit any STCU member service representative to take those initial steps toward building a more sustainable future. Look for more ideas (plus news and other stuff going on at your credit union community) in the fall OSI!
