South Valley Branch breaks ground

Friends of STCU gather to kick off 15th branch location

[July 18, 2011]

STCU directors, staff, and friends broke ground July 14 on the new South Valley Branch, 13211 E. 32nd Ave. The credit union's 15th branch location is scheduled to open in late 2011. Here are some images of the event:

Located one block west of Highway 27, the South Valley Branch will serve residents, businesses, and educators in the city of Spokane Valley and Freeman. The site is also near University High School.

Baker Construction and Development is already at work on the 3,500-square-foot branch. The branch has been designed to meet the U.S. Green Building Council gold standard for sustainable building and development.

From left, STCU board members Bob Jayne, Wally Stanley, Jay Walter, John Young, Margaret Patterson, CEO/President Tom Johnson, and directors Judy Morris and Mike Rennaker break ground on the new branch location.

STCU's management team -- Belinda Caillouet, Scott Adkins, Brad Hunter, Bill Before, Terri Wilson, Tom Johnson, Patsy Gayda, and Ev Hopkins -- will guide the construction and operations of the new South Valley Branch.
